Nick names of course

Mick Jagger contributed lead vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, and percussion
Keith Richards played electric guitar, 6 and 12 string acoustic guitar, and did some backing vocals
Mick Taylor played electric, acoustic and slide guitar
Charlie Watts banged on some drums
And Bill Wyman played bass guitar and electric piano
Jagger and Richards were childhood friends and along with other artist’s formed the band in 1962, just in the nick of time for the British invasion.
Like many bands with a longer history they had many switches in their line up. Familiar names like Brian Jones, had already died in 1969, and Ronnie Wood had not joined the group yet.
The sticky fingers album also had a lot of help from other artists, notice Pete Townshend at the bottom lead singer for the Who.

Now that you know who helped make the music, I would like to discuss the album’s cover and artwork.

The designer was Craig Braun, and the concept and Photography were by Andy Warhol.
On the cover of the Album there was a real zipper you could actually zip and unzip this was cool and outrageous as the stones legacy goes, but it had its problems, during mass shipping the zipper would actually scratch and ruin one of the songs on the album, Later, after the record company almost sued Braun he came up with a makeshift solution to ship the albums with the zipper half down to only cause damage to the label. They never came up with a solution to prevent the zipper from damaging other records in your collection. (super seventies)
Looking at the cover you see that it is artistic classic Andy Warhol, but bulging below under the surfaces you can see something even bigger.

Under the zipper is not much better.
Designer Craig Braun was once quoted kidding to Warhol “I know you had that guy playing with his dick before you shot [that] picture!”
As to who’s crotch shot this is many believed it to be Mick Jagger’s, or, Warhol’s lover Jed Johnson’s, but Warhol later revealed it was Joe Dallesandro, a cult and underground movie star sex symbol. (wiki)

Their website says this album was the apex of their career and keith’s guitar playing, but this album has only secured their legacy as outrageous and talented, making this a contender for their greatest album of all time. This album, their 12th studio album, was #1 in the US for four weeks, and remained on the album charts for 62 weeks. (super seventies)
